Its has been quite some time since I post my previous story. This time I want to share some experience of our trip to Tasik Chini on 10-11 January 2009. trip ni sebenarnya sempena Majlis PerkahwinanAdib dan Syima di DewanMaksak, Kuantan.
Our team (En Sam, Nosrat, Anong, Rahmah and myself) started our trip at 8.30 am from KL (DWNPs HQ to be exact). We stopped at Oldtown Coffee House for breakfast then we start again to meet other member (Petra n Stephanie) in R&R Temerloh.
We went to Dewan Maksak for lunch (Adib & Syima's wedding) Semoga berbahagia hendaknye. After lunch, kitorang pegi Pantai Sepat-rumah sedara (Dapat makan kelapa muda) baru petik.. Dapat bekal dua biji kelapa muda. :)
Then, we started our tour to Tasik Chini, jumpa guesthouse's owner (Mr Rajan Jones-he's a very nice guy). They already prepared dinner for 5 our us. (Petra and Steph tak join)
Its a nice kampong orang asli, far from development. Guesthouse yang kami sewa berkonsep kampung. Satu bilik dua orang, kami tido dalam kelambu, takde katil.. (Teringat zaman kanak-kanak dulu :))On that night, the girls including me, playing cards, some sort of fortune teller (We were just playing, no intend of believing any of the prediction. Sambil gelak2. I believe, Mr Sam already sleep (letih driving kot..) We slept around 12 am...
The next morning, we woke up early, searching and looking for birds (we are doing birdwatching activity). Having tea/coffe at 8am in front of the guesthouse. Then, we spent the next hours at the jetty. We encounter a few species of bird (black hornbill, stork-billed kingfisher, pink-necked pigeon, great imperial pigeon and some more.. At 10 am, we were having breakfast (Mee goreng and mushroom soup-prepared by one of the orang asli-she work with Mr Rajan).
After breakfast, we get back to the gueasthouse and refresh ourselves (Forgot to mention the water was ice-cold) and packed our stuff into the pajero. At 12 pm, we start our journey back to KL using old road. Along the way, we stop a few times to watch the birds of course :). This time we saw changeable eagle, greater coucal, black eagle, red wattled lapwing and ... can't remember all of it).
We arrived in KL around 5-6 pm then we went home with our own car.
